At ART HOTEL Ishigakijima, we are undertaking the following initiatives to reduce our environmental impact and contribute to the creation of a sustainable island.

To protect the beautiful ocean
The seas around Ishigaki Island and the Yaeyama are popular diving areas and are known as Churaumi (Beautiful Sea), home to a wide variety of marine life, including colorful corals, tropical fish, and manta rays.
Unfortunately, Ishigaki Island's public sewage system is not fully developed, and although it passes through a water purification tank, a considerable amount of wastewater flows into the sea every day.
We ask for your cooperation in reducing the amount of laundry wastewater and protecting the beautiful seas of Ishigaki Island.
Use of Public Bath
Please bring the towels provided in your room when going to Public Bath.
Suggestions for guests staying multiple nights
For guests staying multiple nights who are willing to cooperate with our cleaning skip or simplified eco-cleaning service, we will present you with a hotel voucher worth 1,000 yen or 500 yen (per room per day) as a token of our appreciation for your support of our eco-policy.
If you would like to skip cleaning, please attach the blue ECO CARD to the door on the corridor side by 10:00 AM. During the cleaning skip, room cleaning, sheet/pillowcase/loungewear changes, amenity replenishment, and trash collection will not be performed. Only towels will be replaced.
If you are willing to cooperate with our simplified eco-cleaning program, please attach the orange ECO CARD to the door on the corridor side by 10:00 AM. Simplified eco-cleaning does not include room cleaning, bed making, sheet/pillowcase changes, or glass/cup replacements. However, towels, bath mats, and loungewear will be replaced, trash will be collected, and amenities will be replenished.

On this small island, we are also struggling with waste disposal. To reduce the amount of waste, ART HOTEL Ishigakijima Island is taking the following measures. We would appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
- Paper TV program guides are not available in your room. They are available at the front desk. Please let us know if you would like a printed copy.
Don't waste resources.
Some of the restaurants in the hotel offer all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink menus, including for breakfast.
We are delighted that you are enjoying so much, but in order to avoid wasting valuable resources and reduce waste, please eat everything you take and don't leave any behind.
